Marco Rota

I am a director, filmmaker, and founder of Tkvideo, a creative project dedicated to telling stories with honesty and imagination. Since 2001, I’ve been building a career that blends cinema with social impact, creating meaningful visual projects that connect with people, move them emotionally, and inspire reflection.

My career has led me to work in a wide range of environments: from schools and youth centers, where I use the language of cinema as an educational tool, to television with Rai3 for the program “Screensaver,” and to collaborations with major brands such as Amplifon, R101, Fabriano, Wolters Kluwer, Fedrigoni, Halifax, and Parah. I have developed communication projects for numerous municipalities, and my cameras have taken me everywhere, from the runways and backstage of Fashion Week to wedding days, where I tell love stories with the same creative passion I bring to my short films.

Over twenty years of work also mean recognition: 125 finals and 83 awards in film competitions, but above all, the confirmation that passion and consistency always leave a mark.

Cinema is my guiding light: I admire Kubrick for his visionary precision and Spielberg for his ability to speak straight to the heart.
Music accompanies every stage of my work, giving rhythm to images and depth to memories, while traveling is my personal passion, a way to open myself to new cultures and enrich my view of the world.

Working in the social field and with young people in schools has always had a strong impact on my life. Telling their stories is essential to me, because it means giving a voice to experiences that deserve to be heard and remembered.
As Stanley Kubrick said: “The true purpose of cinema is to turn a personal experience into a universal one.”
And that is exactly the guiding thread of my work: transforming individual emotions into images that belong to everyone.
